Physical Therapy

Physical Therapists assist the child with developing skills that will enable them to navigate their environment.  This includes the ability to participate in home, school and community activities to the maximum extent possible. to the maximum extent possible.  Our physical therapists work closely with area orthotic and equipment providers as needed to assist the child with mobility and daily function.

Helping Our Bodies Move

Every child grows and develops at his or her own pace. Sometimes, additional help is needed in order for your child to reach developmental milestones. The earlier a challenge is addressed, the better the future success for your child.

Physical therapy focuses on gross motor skills which are the large movements of our bodies. Gross motor skills are a series of building blocks that occur in sequence. These include sitting, crawling, walking, running, jumping, etc. Therapy is designed to be fun and engaging for your child. Our Physical Therapists use exercises and play-based activities to increase your child’s mobility by strengthening muscles, improving coordination and balance, and building self-confidence.
