ABA

ABA programs are typically funded by health insurance plans and subject to approval based on the child’s diagnosis and need for services. Families with private health plans through an employer or the Marketplace are encouraged to contact their health benefits department to determine if ABA is a covered service. Employer funded or Marketplace plans may be subject to deductibles and other plan requirements. Hoosier Healthwise/Medicaid plans typically cover ABA services.

Our office staff is happy to assist you with determining coverage and locating resources for supplemental funding. Payment plans may be available.

Outpatient

Coverage for outpatient therapy is subject to medical need as identified by the child’s physician and therapist. Outpatient services are often covered by private health plans through an employer and Marketplace plans. These plans may have co-pays, limits on the number of visits per year, or other restrictions that might impact services such as speech, occupational and physical therapy.

Hoosier Healthwise/Medicaid plans typically cover outpatient therapy when recommended.
